Your Home Distributed Video System

No longer do you need to have cables & equipment on show, neither do you have to keep on swapping and changing cables for viewing your multimedia in more than one room. Instead opt for a professional Home Video Distribution System that allows your stunning HD or 4K (Ultra HD) systems to be streamed throughout your home.

Using a multi-room video distribution system, you can start watching a movie in one room, pause it, before continuing to enjoy the same movie in the comfort of another.

What is Home Video Distribution?

A Home Video Distributed System allows a single video source, like your Sky box, Blu-ray player, or Apple TV, to be shared between multiple VDUs (Visual Display Unit) such as, T.V’s, projectors or a combination of both. These sources and VDUs are connected to a HDMI switch that has HDBaseT technology. This provides many advantages, the main being minimising the amount of sources you would need for every VDU in your home. Another advantage is the ability to hide all your equipment for your VDUs.

No one wants to spend thousands of pounds on a stunning T.V. affixed to the wall with lots of wires running down the wall and into a cabinet below. A Video Distribution Systems allows you to hide all the cabling by routing all the cables and storing all your equipment in a centralised location within your home, usually referred to as an AV cupboard.

The Technology

Amitron use the HDBaseT technoloy as mentioned earlier in custom installs. This allows HD video signals and infra-red signals to be sent through Cat 5e or Cat 6 cables. Being able to pass video and other data signals through an Ethernet cable eliminates the need of installing an excessive number of wires.
